Invitation: Recruitment for New Directors

The Board of Directors of the Stratford and Perth County Community Foundation (SPCCF) is seeking new directors to assist with the leadership of our community foundation.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of people in Stratford, St. Mary’s and Perth County by providing support to charitable organizations through grants made possible by responsible stewardship of endowment funds.

The SPCCF Board does not provide compensation to board members. The Board meets approximately 6-10 times per year. Meetings are preferably in person but online participation can be accommodated.

Interested applicants for a director position should:

• demonstrate experience with charitable organizations
• demonstrate leadership in their career and/or community
• possess knowledge and understanding of financial risks and gains with investments
• understand the governance and structure of a local board
• dedicate time and commitment to board meetings and committees and the foundation’s events and goals
• engage in dialogue and discussions with a forward thinking and problem solving approach
• understand the needs of the Stratford and Perth County communities at large
• build relationships with others to work cohesively as a team
