How to create a new fund

You can make a gift to the Foundation electronically by clicking the 'Donate Now' button above. This will take you to our page on the Canada Helps website. Here you enter the amount of your gift and then choose how you want to designate it. If you would like to create a new fund select 'New Fund' and write us a brief note in the message section. If you want to make a memorial gift or a special occasion gift there is a place there to indicate that as well. After making your gift, you will receive a donation receipt from Canada Helps and we will be notified of your gift. Donating online is an effective, efficient, safe and secure way to make a gift to the Foundation.

Make a Lasting Gift to Your Community

The purpose of the Stratford and Perth County Community Foundation is to help people from all walks of life support causes that are important to them. Are you grateful to the community where you live and want to give back? Do you want to leave a legacy after you are gone? We can help you with these and any other reasons for giving. The Stratford and Perth County Community Foundation is not a charity supporting our own programs, but a vehicle to support other causes and activities that donors designate. The Foundation does not compete with other charitable organizations – rather we enhance their ability to serve the community.

Regardless of the type of gift, its size, or whether it is made now or in the future, your gift will continue to benefit causes and organizations in the community for many years to come. All gifts are pooled and invested, unless designated to support operations. Through grants made possible through income from endowed funds, your initial gift keeps on giving.

The Foundation offers various giving methods and fund options to assist you in making a meaningful and lasting gift to the community.

Creating a Fund

Each individual, family, or organization we work with has unique charitable interests...and unique financial circumstances. We help you make the most of both, so you receive the greatest return on your community investment. Tax exempt donations can be made in almost any form. They can be made in your lifetime or by bequest or gift of life insurance. There are a variety of giving methods tailored to your unique situation.

As a donor, you can create your own fund or contribute to one already established. Your fund can be named or anonymous. A named fund can be established in your name, or in the name of your family, your organization, or anyone you wish to honour. There are five different fund options from which you can choose. All grants distributed from your fund - today and in the future - are then awarded to charities in the name of your fund. It's a great way to always be involved with, and remembered for, your community investment.

Your fund can support local initiatives for children, youth, seniors, health, the arts, recreation, education, environment and/or social services. Whichever you choose, your gift will keep on giving to meet local needs year after year.
