Information for Grant Recipients
Congratulations on receiving a community grant! We are pleased to be able to assist you with funding your project. Our ability to fund future projects for you and other organizations depends on you! We ask for your help with the following:
1. Project Evaluation
Please complete a project evaluation. Use the Evaluation Guide for assistance. For additional information on how to evaluate your project, please see the links provided below.
2. Acknowledging the Community Foundation
Please use every opportunity to acknowledge the grant your organization received from the Community Foundation. This will help to raise awareness in the community of the benefits that the Community Foundation brings to the residents of Perth County and there by help to increase the amount of donations to support charitable work. We ask that you:
- Hang the community grant award plaque in a prominent location in your organization
- Announce your grant or build awareness of your project with a press release
- Obtain testimonials: ask those who participated in your project to tell you how they benefited – be sure to get their permission to publicize their name and comments and/or ask staff or others involved with your organization how the grant helped build capacity for your organization
- Take pictures of the people your project has benefited - be sure to get a photo release from the subject(s) to allow us to use their picture(s). Our Photo Release Form is available for these permissions. [Please note: you are encouraged to develop your own photo permission form to cover any uses of images by your organization.]
- Acknowledge the Foundation in your publications, on your website and anywhere else that is appropriate.
3. One Last Thing
Please do not provide a charitable tax receipt for your grant. This is not required when funds flow from one charitable organization to another. Of course a letter of thanks along with your project evaluation is always appreciated.
